through curriculum
"The woman spits fire with every lecture and makes you excited to come to class. I would like to see her given more opportunity to teach other classes such as script analysis, directing, and acting classes. The amount of things I have learned, and growth I have obtained as an actor, is nothing short but amazing. 10/10 would recommend."

"We need more teachers like Beth, and courses like this (African-American Theatre and Performance)."

student engagement

"I loved Professor Reeves' method of doing asynchronous learning. I have never taken an asynchronous learning course. However, getting to see a video of the professor each week as I mentioned previously really helped me to continue throughout the course. Looking at a computer screen each week and never seeing the professor would have been boring. I enjoyed the discussion posts and papers because you could put a piece of yourself into the paper."

"(Professor Reeves') ability to break down complex topics, encourage meaningful discussions, and create a supportive classroom environment was deeply appreciated."

Connectivity/Relevancy
"Beth Reeves is an outstanding professor who understands theatre on a level many do not. She shows this through her philosophy that extends to professor and student and the class is not just a class. It's an experience. It is a collaborative space. And most importantly, it is a safe home. Not a time went by when I didn't leave the class feeling better than I did when I walked in. Beth has such an expressive and compassionate attitude. If I could take this class again, I WOULD!".

"If I was being honest, I'd have to tell you that I came into this class just trying to satisfy my fine arts credit but after taking this class found it very enjoyable. It really opened my eyes and connected me with something that normally would be at the 10' level of my life elevated it and incorporated it into the 10,000' level I have to be at with the world around me as Chief of Police. I truly appreciate and have enjoyed this class, thank you so much."

" She was able to bring our careers into every lesson. She understood that not everyone in the class was a theater major."
